PACE recommends manual testing for applications that have not been tested by professional third parties. PACE offers this service to applications at all stages viz. pre-production and post-production including enhancements and maintenance.

Automated regression testing

PACE, with over 500 person years of regression automation experience, has a robust test automation framework that reduces the testing cycle time considerably. The PACE automation framework maximizes reuse and thereby helps in reducing the test suite building and maintenance efforts significantly. PACE has expertise in all the popular regression automation tools and 70% of PACE associates hold either the PACE automation certification or the Mercury certification (CPC, Certified Product Consultant) on WinRunner or Quick Test Professional (QTP).

Configuration Management (CM) Services

It is needless to say, that a robust CM process is essential to simplify the management of application’s configuration items to ensure transparency in project execution. The centralized CM unit of Polaris is a 40+ member unit working 24 x 7, implementing CM process at all development centers across Polaris, covering 3,000+ developers. The CM unit has expertise in more than 10 different tools including Rational Clearcase, PVCS, VSS, CVS, and Subversion.

PACE customizes its CM services so that it can suit specific requirements of customers. Also, PACE’s CM experts help the customer to gradually move up on the CM process maturity.

Test Process consultancy

The quality of software products, is largely determined by the comprehensiveness and adherence to the test process followed. PACE, through its in-process control approach, analyzes the existing test process at the customer environment and identifies the gaps and areas of improvement. PACE then helps the customer to bridge gaps in the test process to optimize test effectiveness, leading on to setting up a testing center of excellence.
